The Novavax vaccine is available at the New Plymouth Vaccination Centre on Wednesday afternoons. This is by appointment only, through Book my Vaccine

There are a number of ways you can be vaccinated in Taranaki:

Vaccination Centres

  • The New Plymouth and Hāwera Vaccination Centres are open for walk-ins, or appointments via Book My Vaccine. Click on the purple box below to book in advance.

Pop up vaccination clinics

  • We also operate a number of pop up clinics, both in rural and urban centres - just walk-in on the day. Click here to find a pop up clinic near you.

Accessibility Clinics

  • Appointments are available at the Accessibility Clinic for people who have a disability, impairment or long-term health condition to have their vaccination administered. Please email if you require any assistance for hearing or vision impairments, mobility help, anxiety or other reason that makes it hard for you to access your COVID-19 vaccination.

A full list of sites and times are available via the Te Whatu Ora - Taranaki website

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your kaumātua and whānau from the effects of the virus. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccines and eligibility visit Ministry of Health - COVID-19 vaccines

The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. If you have any questions, please discuss with your healthcare provider.
