Description
Everyone in New Zealand, aged 5 and over is eligible for their free COVID-19 vaccine. If you have had COVID-19, you should wait 3 months after testing positive before getting any COVID-19 vaccination.
Aged 6 months - 4 years- Richmond Vaccination Centre - Sunday to Thursday only
- Nelson Vaccination Centre - Tuesdays only
Aged 5-11 years
Walk-ins are available for tamariki aged between 5-11 years. You can also book an appointment at a time that suits via the Book My Vaccine website website.
Boosters
The Pfizer vaccine is the primary vaccine being used in New Zealand for booster doses, even if you had a different vaccine for your earlier doses.
Aged 18 and over
Everyone in New Zealand, aged 18 and over who completed their primary COVID-19 vaccination course at least three months ago, is eligible for the COVID-19 Pfizer booster.
16 and 17 year olds
Rangatahi aged 16 or 17 can also get a booster six months after completing their primary vaccination course.

Novavax Vaccine
In the Nelson Marlborough region, the Novavax vaccine is available at the Nelson and Richmond Vaccination Centres, as well as the Community Care Chemist in The Warehouse, Blenheim and Golden Bay Community Health Centre.
You can book your appointments for both centres via the Book My Vaccine website. Walk ins are available subject to availability of the vaccine on the day.
