Get boosted campaign kicks off
Karawhiua has kicked off a new Get boosted campaign, with the message that now’s a good time to get boosted to protect whānau.
With an increase of COVID-19 cases possible over summer from international travel and large whānau gatherings, the Get boosted campaign comes right on time.
The nationwide campaign began last week, with a special focus in Bay of Plenty, Lakes District, Taranaki, and Far North. These regions have the lowest second booster rates. We’re using billboards, posters, iwi radio and social media to spread the message.
Many of our whānau are unsure or have pātai about boosters, or don’t know if they are eligible to get one. To address this, we’ve published a checker on our website that helps people find out if they are eligible, and a factsheet that answers some of the pātai we’ve heard from whānau about boosters.
Keep an eye and an ear out for the Get boosted campaign near you.
The campaign is proudly supported by Te Whatu Ora – Health NZ.
